- Referred (if necessary) to a specialist at Ajialouna Medical Center;
- Examined by the physician at a school-based district clinic;
- Provided with needed diagnostic exams such as lab tests and X-rays, medications are provided on-site;
- Referred for surgeries (if required);
- Scheduled for a timely follow-up
Medical Hotline
Entering into our 8th year, Ajialouna’s Medical Hotline program was launched in 2015 to provide an opportunity for low-income patients in need of medical treatments and hospitalization the opportunity to apply for medical funding.
The program allows for patients in need of financial support to receive a review of their submitted case for time-sensitive treatments and emergency operations. Within 24 hours, a medical applicant’s request is reviewed, assessed, and verified by our social and medical validation team.
Due diligence is carried out by verifying the information and documents submitted, including a patient’s medical history, social status, and verifying the credentials of physicians and medical facilities.
Approved cases have funded the difference between what is covered by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) or the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) by Ajialouna, with payments made directly to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Life Petals Children Cancer Fund
Established in 2009, The Life Petals Children Cancer Fund at Ajialouna supports children battling cancer and their families to cover 100% of their treatment costs. The fund covers all costs related to surgeries, treatment plans, and medications for children in their fight against cancer.
Children receive medical sponsorship throughout their course of treatment through remission, with an average course treatment of two years. Dedicated donation boxes can be found across a variety of locations including at pharmacies, schools, supermarkets, and retail shops across the country. Ajialouna also raises funds for the program through fundraising events to secure costs and treatments and cover additional lab work and treatments for children.
The Life Petals Fund has supported more than 700 children diagnosed with cancer for over 13 years.
